ABOUT STRAIGHTREVIEW

Good questions. Straight answers.

A clearer view of an online store starts with making the information behind the verdict easier to understand.

01 / ABOUT STRAIGHTREVIEW

Why StraightReview exists.

A polished storefront can explain what a business sells. It takes a closer look at policies, contact information and other relevant evidence to understand the conditions attached to an order. StraightReview exists to make that closer look more useful.

We publish focused editorial assessments of online retailers. Our aim is to put the conclusion, its basis, the important buying details and the limitations of the research in one readable place. We want readers to understand the assessment, rather than simply accept a badge or a number.

02 / ABOUT STRAIGHTREVIEW

Published by StraightReview LLC.

StraightReview is published by StraightReview LLC, based in New York, United States. The StraightReview editorial desk is the publication identity used on our reviews and guides.

The publisher supplies the research, relevant experience and editorial judgement behind an assessment. We describe the basis of that judgement on the page, including any relevant prior familiarity with a store. We do not present a policy check as a purchase test or an independently audited trading history.

Publication enquiries: contact@straightreview.com. For an order or refund, contact the retailer through its own official support channels.

03 / ABOUT STRAIGHTREVIEW

Our commitment to more accurate reviews.

Accuracy takes more than adding a disclaimer. Our standard is to attribute important observations, distinguish facts from interpretation, make the scope of the checks visible, and consider evidence that challenges the conclusion. A favourable assessment should still explain material conditions that affect a buyer’s decision.

We show when an assessment was made. That date records the evidence considered at the time; it does not mean every store is monitored continuously. Where a material factual mistake is identified, our correction standard is to check the point, amend an inaccuracy and add appropriate context.

Our editorial standards, assessment approach and corrections process explain these commitments in more detail.

04 / ABOUT STRAIGHTREVIEW

Transparency belongs beside the verdict.

Our first review concerns Oliver & Blake. The publisher’s prior familiarity with the store informs the positive opinion. That context is disclosed in the review. The public information checked does not independently verify the business’s age, customer totals, premises or order performance, and no test purchase was performed for that assessment.

Our disclosure standard covers relevant personal or commercial connections, sponsorship, affiliate arrangements and supplied products where they apply. A disclosure belongs where it helps a reader evaluate the affected content. See connections and disclosures.

Thoughtful tools. Clear responsibility.

Technology, including AI, can assist with research organisation, drafting, design and formatting. Those tools do not turn an unsupported statement into a verified fact. The publishing standard remains to check important factual statements against relevant sources and to make the basis of the assessment visible.

Original images used to express research and considered shopping are illustrative. They are not photographs of StraightReview employees, business premises or a retailer’s fulfilment operation. They should not be read as evidence that a particular inspection or purchase occurred.

06 / ABOUT STRAIGHTREVIEW

Your decision stays yours.

StraightReview provides editorial information. It does not sell the reviewed products, take retail payments or handle third-party orders. A positive conclusion is a judgement about the evidence described, rather than a promise that every transaction will be problem-free.

Read the current retailer policies and the protections attached to your payment method before ordering. If you see something we should reconsider, contact us with the relevant page and supporting evidence.

Clear sources. Useful context. A considered view.
